A feast for the eyes – unlikely brand creation for an out of the ordinary consultancy
The Challenge
Jonathan Shepherd is an expert in his field, but as a one-man-band (literally), he needed to look the part to properly launch his consultancy to the world.
Our Approach
Combining a range of capabilities and interests seemed complex at face value, but we forged a relationship to gain a deeper understanding of his values, business ambitions, personal interests and ultimately, what he liked and disliked, to present a way forward. We don’t believe in doing things by halves, and luckily, neither does he, so tasked with the challenge to create a brand identity that was aligned to himself and his organisation, we got stuck in.
The Result
A brand identity that was quite the opposite to everything and everyone else in his field of work – but that’s the point, right? Considered, but bold. Researched to determine what not to do, many meetings to determine not only personal preference, but understand how we can sew individual personality into the purpose of the organisation.
A brand that has confidence, but also feels comfortable to engage and a website, social media graphics, and collateral to support.
“Inspired by a scribble on a notepad under the Spanish sunshine, my lifetime’s interest in the North American Bison has morphed its way to be my company logo. The brilliantly creative team latched onto the sketch without prompt and transformed it into the iconic logo I’m using today. Iconic being the operative word! My logo has become a significant talking point, focus, and conversation door opener; reflecting the power of branding and the impact that the team’s creation is having.”
